Alpha v0.9.4

October 7, 2026

New

  • Tap Shift just before a melee blow lands to parry, then strike back with a stronger riposte. Parry replaces the roll and does not stun the attacker. A red warning marks blows that cannot be parried.
  • Bandages can cure poison at 60 Healing and 60 Anatomy, and resurrect another adventurer at 80 in both. In the Deeps, a bandage resurrection uses the same limited return as the camp healer; the Rite and camps still require their healer.
  • Companions understand orders such as “follow me”, “stay here” and “heal me” without needing their name. Name a companion when choosing between them.

Changed

  • Outdoor light follows the time of day and weather. Entering and leaving interiors fades smoothly between their lighting.
  • Lava and water hazards, including cooled and drained paths, have a faint tint without a grid. Emberforge’s heavy color treatment is removed.
  • Companions offer preparation advice before a descent. The Porters’ Rite is easier to find, and its choices fit smaller screens.
  • Healing descriptions show the actual requirements, current skills and bandage time.

Fixed

  • Thousands of solid objects now block movement correctly, and thousands of invisible barriers have been removed. Long Hill’s approaches and native art pieces are repaired.
  • Shop purchases remain in the town’s memory and chronicle. Haggling uses the prices on the shelf, and the baker’s favor still lowers the bill.
  • Companions finish their bandages before returning to formation and help fallen companions back up.
  • Vendor selling and barter handle offers more safely. The cutpurse leaves Young adventurers alone.
  • Status, skill, inventory and other screen details are clearer and easier to use.
  • Trinsic’s west gate stays open beneath its wall walk. The Emberforge vault bridge, several ambush positions and a few loot spots remain reachable around solid scenery.
  • The Drowned Mine pump drains the floor around solid scenery without marking those objects as safe ground.
  • Small items remain easy to pick up without taking the mouse target away from the visible side of a chest.
  • Guards answer for their own town. Delucia’s Night Exchange warnings belong only to its gate watch.
