Under Minoc's lake, the founders kept their silver in vaults dried by sluices. The lake broke in. The bell-ringers drowned at their ropes, and their Cantor keeps them ringing.
Eight floors beneath the lake
The Sluice Vaults fill floors 1–4: flooded strongrooms, sluice channels and the Sluice Mother. Rest at the Bell-Rope Camp after floor 4, then go down through the Drowned Choir on floors 5–8 to face the Drowned Cantor.
The tide rises
The water rises while thou fightest. First it slows thy steps; higher water bites with cold. Double-click the sluice wheels to push it back. Turn every wheel on a floor and its tide stays slack. The camp is a respite from the water.
Sister Morwenna
The last Tidesinger waits at the Bell-Rope Camp. A ghost who reaches her must answer her song: “When the bell rings…” — “We come.” She can return each porter once per run. Above that first camp, the way up leads out to Minoc instead.
Two drowned relics
The Black Pearl Compass points to a nearby secret once a day. Double-click it in thy pack to read its bearing and distance. The Drowned Bell, rung beside a sunken passage, calls it up out of the water. There are things below worth listening for.
